Year in Review

The first year of the Small groups guy blog is almost over. Thanks for making it a lot of fun. couple of highlights for your readership knowledge:

  • 4 posts from earlier in the year were made into articles for the small group exchange website  (linked on the right). Great partnership built with the team running this site that has immense potential for helping the Summit & SGX develop better small group leaders. Thanks specifically to Scott  & Samantha for the chance to work with SGX!
  • Male & female group leaders guest blogged about life as a Summit Church small group leader
  • Most popular blogpost: “Small Group Dilemma…The Prayer Request.” (Over twice as many reads as any other post). More on this in a coming post
  • Increased readership over the year: The past 2 months have been 2 of our highest trafficked yet. If we hold strong in december, it will be our best month of the year!
  • Increased communication between myself & group leaders. This has proven our most effective forum yet for helpful small  group leader dialogue. I would love your feedback on how we can make this even more interactive and helpful

And there is probably more, but suffice it to say I was worried in January this would be a 5 week and done project. It has proven to be a great experience and I look forward to what ’09 brings for the Small Groups Guy Blog!

    Hey Spence-

I’m a part of the leadership of Bluefish TV, RightNow and the Small Group Exchange and I just wanted to drop a quick line to say that I appreciate all you’ve been working on with our team.

Your reviews to resources, articles and getting other small group leaders involved on the site will be a key to creating a tool that can help small group leaders across the country lead their people more towards living on mission in a world that doesn’t always embrace Christ.

Thanks for all your work. Your partner in ministry,

    Justin Forman
